Hogmanay, snow-capped mountains and Burns Night (don’t forget to hunt down your wild Haggis!)
Mull’s mountains have awoken topped with a blanket of snow. The island transitions from the roaring rut and golden bracken of autumn into the cool blue winter. Wild icy winds sweep through the valleys from the mountain tops above, settling into sparkling overnight frost.

Happy Hogmanay!
We are all very much looking forward to 2022 with the launch of Island Pods, exciting developments with Hooked on Mull, hosting another ‘Wildlife Extravaganza‘ with Kate Humble and several other new projects taking place across the estate.
Wishing a happy, healthy and prosperous 2022 to you all!

Dark Skies
As the January night skies begin to darken to an inky black, the stars create a breath-taking twinkling overhead blanket; Mull has some of the darkest skies in Europe due to it’s lack of light pollution, making it a fantastic destination to stargaze and enjoy one of nature’s most humbling experiences.

Burns Night
A Burns supper is a celebration of the life and poetry of the poet Robert Burns, the author of many a Scots poem. The suppers are normally held on or near the poet’s birthday, 25 January, known as Burns Night.
Celebrations usually include poetry, Cèilidh dancing and of course, a delicious haggis dinner. Burns immortalised the traditional Scottish meal in his poem, Address To A Haggis.
