Golf
Mull and Iona are home to three wonderfully characterful golf courses. Play the shoreside nine-hole at Craignure, take in the panoramic island views at Tobermory, or tee off on Iona’s magnificent machair course, where the greens are grazed by local cattle and sheep. Golf clubs are available to hire directly from the estate.
Tobermory Distillery
One of Scotland’s oldest distilleries, Tobermory Distillery has been producing whisky on Mull’s colourful harbour-front since 1798. Offering tours and tastings, it showcases two distinct single malts — Tobermory and the peated Ledaig — as well as a craft gin. It’s a must-visit for whisky lovers, with a blend of heritage, flavour, and island charm.

Pony Trekking
Pony trekking with Mull Pony Trekking at Killiechronan is a wonderful way to explore the area, with hill and beach trek options available aboard sure-footed native highland ponies. Based at the head of Loch na Keal, just minutes from the estate, the treks are famed for exceptional wildlife sightings: otters and our resident white-tailed sea eagles are regularly spotted at close range, unbothered by the ponies.
Nc’Nean Distillery
Just across the water on the Morvern peninsula, Nc’nean is a trailblazing eco-conscious distillery crafting organic, small-batch whisky. Led by a female team and powered entirely by renewables, it reimagines Scotch with sustainability at its core. Tours include tastings of their smooth, contemporary spirit. Reach it by ferry to Loch Aline and a 30-minute drive, or by water taxi from Tobermory via Tobermory Bay Tours.

Island Sauna Shack
The Island Sauna Shack is a hand-built, wood-fired sauna that travels across Mull, most often found at Salen Pier. Book a private or community session and enjoy the full Nordic cycle of heat, cold water plunge and rest, all with breathtaking coastal views. For those wanting to feel truly alive, it is hard to beat.
