Knock House is the seat of the Estate and the heart of everything we offer.
Taken exclusively on a weekly basis, this grand 18th-century home brings with it a dedicated team of staff, salmon and trout fishing, stalking, and boating adventures: the full estate experience. For family gatherings, milestone celebrations or groups in search of something truly unforgettable, there is nothing quite like a week at Knock House.
The house itself is a much-loved family home, thoughtfully furnished for luxurious island living. Striking views across the surrounding hills and glens set the scene, while interiors full of comfort, warmth and Scottish art from the owner’s own collection make it as easy to settle in as it is to head out.
Bedrooms
With 12 spacious bedrooms and eight bath or shower rooms, Knock House can comfortably accommodate up to 20 guests. The rooms, each named after Mull’s neighbouring islands, have their own unique features, character and quirks
Kitchen & Dining
The large well equipped family kitchen is the heartbeat of the house – a welcoming hive of activity.
In the evening, rally the troops for a hearty banquet in the dining room complete with a roaring open fire. Our bespoke dining table seats a dining party of 16 very comfortably and a maximum of 20.
Relaxing & Hosting
After supper, retire and relax in the comfort of the spacious living, drawing and sitting rooms.
If a party is in order, head to the wooden-clad Ceilidh Hall, with sprung dance floor perfect for Scottish reeling, crackling woodburning stove, games tables, a cocktail mixing bar, sound system and outside terrace. There’s also plenty of opportunity for friendly rivalry in the billiard room with its three-quarter size snooker table, or outside on the all-weather tennis court.
Personal Touches
There is a large boot room perfect for all your clobber, a gun room, and a drying room. Man’s best friend is very welcome to join the family in certain ground floor areas of the house, and there is also kennel accommodation for dogs outside. We also have a fully stocked wine cellar and offer a selection of carefully selected wines from Berry Brothers. Our wines are available to purchase by the case.
